Another fun wedding this past Saturday! Mary and Tony were married at the Cross and Crown Lutheran Church on the Northeast side of Indianapolis. We met up with Mary, Tony, and their wedding party at the Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers for a pre-wedding photo session. The Hawthorns is a beautiful place to shoot with lots of great areas inside and out. Lucky for us because it was hot and very humid outside---kudos to everyone for braving the heat and doing such a fine job. After the ceremony at Cross and Crown, we headed back to the Hawthorns for a fun reception. Here again, is a short video of some artist’s favorites of the day. Tony makes a surprise visit in one of the photos; see if you can spot him. The last shot is of Mary and Tony taking advantage of our Fun Cam.

Well, we’ve done several photos shoots over the years at the Canal in downtown Indy but none quite like this one. The Canal equals romance for this couple, as they met here on a blind date. The evening started off really well. We met up with Carla and Daniel at the New York Street overpass and started our session moving up the canal. They did a great job of posing for the camera and we got some great images, but it started to sprinkle, then it started to rain. Luckily, there are several places to take shelter so we worked our way back down the canal in between showers, each location giving us great images. We almost made our destination near the White River when the rain started getting more intense with added thunder and lightning. At this point we decided to call it a night and Carla and Daniel started back toward their car, just as the sky opened up and started dumping buckets and they didn’t have any rain gear. Rhonda and I waited about five more minutes before putting on rain jackets and starting back to our car. By the time we arrived, we were both soaked from the waist down. Luckily I was able to keep my camera under my rain jacket so it stayed mostly dry. Here is a short video clip of some favorites from the evening’s shoot---hope you enjoy them.

I feel so lucky to have such great couples to work with again this year. Krystel and Jimmy did such a great job posing for the camera and braved the cool evening air at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. I know they were both cold but didn't complain one bit...it was around 54 degrees when we finished shooting. Thanks guys for putting up with me and the cold. Krystel and Jimmy will be married on May 15, 2010 at the Gray Road Baptist Church with the reception following at the Atrium on Thompson Road, near I-65. Here are some favorites from the session.

Another perfect early Spring evening. Congratulations to Stephanie & John on their engagement! We met up with the couple on their family property near Trafalgar, Indiana. The various old buildings scattered around made for some really great backgrounds. I love the textures of old barn wood siding. Stephanie & John will be married at German Park located on St. Rd. 135 near the Marion/Johnson county line, on September 18, 2010. Here is a small sampling from their photo session.
